PGRs, researchers and academics planning to publish their research results.  

Professional Services staff who support researchers in the publishing process.  

 

Priority will be given to colleagues who are employed by the University if the course reaches capacity.

 

Summary 

Developing an effective strategy helps maximise the reach of your work, ensuring it is read by the widest audience possible. This workshop will provide guidance and advice for researchers to consider when developing a publishing strategy. It will also introduce participants to licencing and copyright options, with a focus on publishing openly where possible. 

 

Learning Objectives 

At the end of the workshop participants will be able to: 

 

  • Appreciate the benefits of writing a publishing strategy 
  • Identify a suitable format and appropriate publisher for their work 
  • Understand licencing and copyright options 
  • Promote and monitor the impact of their work 
  • Know where to get further training and advice
