Programme & Objectives

Summary

This two-hour introductory course offers an overview of essential tools and concepts for conducting open and reproducible research across various disciplines. Designed for early-career researchers and postgraduate research (PGR) students with limited experience in open-research practices, the course outlines key steps to consider throughout the research process. Topics include effective data management, comprehensive documentation, use of public repositories, consistent variable naming conventions, and adherence to metadata standards. It is designed for early-career researchers and PGR students with little knowledge of open-research practices, serving as an overview of every step they should have in mind when conducting open and reproducible research.
