If I find it, can I use it? Online

Alright, you’ve found some information for your assignments, but is it the right kind of information and can you use it confidently in your university-level work? In this session, we’ll focus on ensuring your sources and the information you find are relevant and suitable for academic research. We’ll guide you on how to evaluate your search results using the CRAAP test or the six-question method, apply critical thinking when using AI tools, and understand the impact of the spread of fake news. We’ll also cover copyright rules and how to stay within the law when using information, especially from online sources. This session is open to all students.
